Mad Libs in the Classroom

Nostalgic Moment? or Productive Fun?

Students at Lamar County Elementary never have a unproductive moment in the classroom. In these pictures, students in Mrs. Abram's 3rd Grade class are practicing language and speaking skills using Mad Libs. After finishing a test, students pull out a Mad Libs activity book for laughs and learning. As students work on the assignment, Mrs. Abrams observes them to ensure correct grammar including proper and plural nouns. The best part of the activity involved student presentations. Volunteers sat in the honorary chair to read aloud their Mad Lib to the class. Discussion was heard on whether the story told a clear story and how to make improvements. This student-led activity fostered collaboration, communication, and writing skills.

Just another day at LCES!
